Trailer Servicing with the trailer medic

Above is a link to the video I did for an NFU office on trailer safety/servicing. As you will see, no expense spared!!! lol!
Please be gentle as the camera was just pointed at me and I was told to speak!! totally un-scripted.

one question it raised for me tho was the tyre pressure. you say it should be 50-55psi, on my tyres it says 30psi thats alot of difference. whats right?

All Horse trailers should be fitted with tyres that either have a commercial 6 ply or 8 ply rating, so you can have the tyre pressures at 50 psi +
Otherwise low tyre pressures can cause overheating to wheel bearings and brakes, potentially causing disaster!
Sounds like your trailer has been fitted with standard car tyres which are not legal on trailers. Sorry!

we had an old richardson supreme and I'm sure that those tyres also said something like this.

I can't remember though as was a couple of years back I just remember noticing the PSI on the new ifor tyres was more.

Will watch vid tonight when I have sounds otherwise I might miss the important bits!

TM, what grease do you recommend for tow balls / hitches?

I know the answer to this one, but there was a discussion on here a while back where I was having trouble convincing someone that Vaseline was not a good choice.
