How does my brute of horse keep unclipping the breast- bar in the traler, then throwing it across the floor?

He bangs a bit until we get going. Obviously we need it to be quick release, so can't tie it on to tight.

Or is it ok to travel without the breast bar??

What type of trailer/breastbar is it? Can you clip anything to the catch to stop him dislodging it but that you would be able to unclip quickly in an emergency?

You should talk to my sister, she has a big brute of a horse( I really dont like him), that is an ******* in a horsebox, dislodges bars at the front and back and is a proper pig to load him. 3 man mission with white tape tied at one side of the box, brought around his bum, but on the way home, he walks straight in, without breaking anything because he knows he's going home. he drives me mad!!! She might be able to help you, as she has all th tricks. If you want her email, just message me!! I'm scared of him, cos he's 17.2hh and he knows it, and I got a complete hiding in the horsebox last year, stupid mare plunged on top of me about 20 times, thank god she didnt have shoes. And my lovely sister still makes me put that bar up behind her fella when we are loading him, you can imagine what it's like with face and boobs exposed to a kick.!! Prob funny really, if you're looking at it from the outside in!!!

As Kallibear says - aren't there pins?? If not, ask Ifor I bet they will have some. I definately wouldnt want my horse loose in there - if you stopped sharply he'd be out the front!
