Trailer Recalls

Folks, as part of my job I check vehicle and part recalls monthly. Given that many trailers are sold privately, it's probable that owners aren't notified about recalls. While the information is easily found if you know where to look (www.gov.uk and search "vehicle recall"), I've attached your starter for 10. Any future searches by you will only need to look for recalls after 30/12/25 (launch date on the spreadsheet).

For those of you looking to buy a trailer, this may give you a useful question to ask the seller.

Apologies for the fields being truncated, but HHO wouldn't let me attach this as a CSV or spreadsheet file - but if your trailer is on this list, please head over to gov.uk and look at the detailed information. You may know the history of your trailer, or find the answer in the paperwork that you received with your trailer, but if in doubt please get your trailer checked.

Even for those not shopping, it’s worth trailer owners checking if they have one that was subject to a recall, and that the work needed has been carried out.

I have an ifor williams 403, built and delivered brand new to me in 2014. The one listed in the file says launched 2008 which is the year I think they brought out the new style. Which specific production/build date does it include?

On gov uk site it shows the 2014 model as no recall.

Launch date is the date of the recall. The build dates affected are the last two columns on the right.

Thanks for sharing. My trailer is on the list for a floor recall but I replaced the floor when I bought it so all good!
