I'm looking to buy a new trailer shortly and can't make my mind up what to get.
Mostly I will be towing 1 horse but will want to take 2 now and again. My horse will only load on his own if he has the full width so will need to get full width breast and breaching bars and preferably is fairly inviting for horse.
I currently have an old Ivor which has been great but now I can afford a new one I can't decide!
Think I've narrowed it down to Bateson, ifor or Wessex but would be interested to know of other people's experiences please.

Worth doing a search on here as there are loads of threads on this. I have a Bateson and judging by the comments by Ifor people (in the news section) on the fact that the trailer brakes keep seizing, am glad I made that choice.
Ifor - unload on righthand, Bateson - left hand. Bateson has more extras as standard and goes upto 17 hh on the trailers, ifor splits into a 505/6 or 510/511 (upto 16.2 and upto 17.2). The 505 and 510 have an older suspenscion which is why I had initially plumped for a Bateson.

What is the towing capacity of your vehicle as that could have an influence on how heavy the unladen trailer must be to accomodate 2 horses and still be within that capacity

This question does not refer to the trailer MAM because that can be up to 3500 kgs

I assume you have a B+E licence

Thanks guys. I haven't heard great things about the new ifors either but the people I know who have them don't seem to have any problems.
I can't remember exact towing capacity but it is sufficient to tow any of these fully loaded.

I am happy with a Wessex Clubman, but there is not really much difference among the brands you mention. Wessex is supposed to have good suspension which makes for an easier ride for the horse, but probably Bateson & Ifor Williams do, too.
