Ive currently got an Ifor 505 and am looking at changing it for some thing abit bigger and abit more sturdy.
I love my trailer, but it doenst give Arch a very good ride.
Im liking to look of the Batesons, do they give a nice smooth ride?

Hello! Look at what I'm getting- the Cheval Liberte 2003XL, it's mahoosive and has Pullman suspension, which is very good and gives a very smooth ride. My best friend has the small CL trailer with optional extra of Pullman and her horse travels beautifully in it (he won't travel in other trailers). She says it doesn't rattle at all like the Ifors do.

I think the Bateson suspension is good, and is the same standard as the non-Pullman CL trailers, both of which are better than the Ifor suspension which, judging by my limited research, is pretty outdated!

i'd say the cheval liberte too...
otherwise - we have an ancient wooden trailer that was designed for 2 horses and 1 pony (pony face backwards) and have adapted it so it takes 2 big horses comfortably. it was made by e.ward and sons if that helps, i don't know if they are even still around.

Ive just had a look on the web site and they look very nice. Im loving the burgandy one!!

It doenst say what height horses they take though??

The Equi-Trek's are excellent... I cannot recommend them enough! They travel the horses backwards too, which seems to settle every horse I have travelled in it, no matter now nervy they are

I'm getting the burgundy one! We can't have matching trailers haha (well, we could!).

I think they take 2x17hh. They are seriously tall inside.

Do you no how much they are? There are no prices on the web site? Did you go to Moulden to look?

Nope, through the Maulden man as he's so nice whenever I speak to him. He's gone out of his way to help me so I'll give him the business. But if you want one quickly, Ebay might be better. (there's quite a long lead time on them due to the machine that makes them breaking down, apparently!).

I have a Bateson Boston Deauville - with the American doors and the 'step up' option. I love it - it's really good to pull and my horse loads better in it than she used to in the Lorry. I think they look really good too and are a but more unusual than the Ifor Williams.

I looked at the heights of the CL trailers, isnt the 2003xl as big/high as the Ifor 510? The Richardsons give a massive headroom, I think its 7' 8". I had the Supreme grande and it had loads of headroom.

I have a henra trailer it has 7ft 10in headroom and my 16hh mare looks like a pony in it, I have had her and a 17.2hh in it and it towed very well including up some pretty steep hills. It is lightweight at 740kg on its own and as the partition is transparent it looks even lighter and roomier for loading horses.

Hi I've just bought a silver Ifor classic 505 and its beautiful! Absolutely love it and must say would NEVER change from Ifor ever! My friend has just bought an Equitrek too, but apparently you have to watch the weight of them as they are quite heavy. A couple of friends also have the Ifor 510 and they are huge inside. We sold our old 505 on a horsey web based sales site (am I allowed to say the name - i'll pm you just in case!) within a week. Good ones are going like hot cakes as usual - something else to consider when buying a new one - resale and how it holds its value.
