Trailer servicing

I get mine serviced every year just like you do your car. It makes sure everything is still in good condition and all breaks, tyres and bolts etc. are in place because I would hate for something to go wrong while my horse was in it.
 
Depends how handy you are with mechanical stuff and how many miles you plan to do.

Unless you are happy to do some minor checks and maintenance an annual service makes sense. I found a really useful list online of what needs doing when and a lot of it could be done by a fairly handy person. If you aren't going to do any maintenance yourself then a service once a year or thereabouts will be needed. It only costs about £70 or £80 if you don't need anything else doing, but things like brake shoes will need replacing every few years which will be an additional expense.
