Hello :o I've been forced out of lurkdom with a trailer question.
I'm looking to buy a trailer to tow with my Huyndai Tucson auto (1600 kilo limit) to take my 14 3hh arab (approx 400 kilos out to play). No restrictions on me as I'm older than I'd like to admit now. :o
My budget isn't huge but I've found a nice second hand Bahill trailer weighing about 650 kilos which would be perfect, they've sent me the dimensions but not sure if it will be big enough? My concern is the stall length. He wears a 5'9 rug. Anyone got any ideas? its a bit of a drive to see it so don't want to waste my time if its too small. Its only for him so would take out the centre partition.

total length to front nose- 3m/ 9ft 10in
Stall length - 2m/ 6ft6in
Stall width - 0.75m / 2ft 5in
Total Width - 1.45m/ 4ft 9 in
Headroom - 2.1m/ 7ft

thank you!!

Sounds like he would fit. If it's not coming from a dealer can you ask the owner what size horses they've travelled in it? Might help you gauge a bit better. Or often they state on website etc as in Ifor 505/6 is for horses up to 16.2hh, the 510/11 up to 17.2hh.

Its a dealer so its been through the workshop and everything is done, but they don't know what has travelled in it, hence the proportions. He's not a big chap but am wondering if I should go a tiny bit bigger to give him a bit of wriggle room behind him....
thank you!

thank you everyone. I think its a smaller Bayhill, but yes he's pony sized which is what I love about him - compact and portable!
