has any one done this what was it like i need to find some one in or near newmarket/suffolk to train and do test how much did it cost you i was first quoted like £800 for 2 day course with test at end what do you think?
 
That is quite expensive. I am doing my lessons with a private lady this week and have my test on Thursday.

7 hours training but I am using my own vehicle and trailer

This is costing me £180 for the lessons plus £115 for the test, £295 in total

It depends how confident you are.

I went on the road for one hour today and learnt the reverse test, hitching and unhitching which I knew how to do already

well i drive tracters and trailers all day at work so have the idea but will be different in a car and trailer that sounds much more reasonable price to thank you for help nice to get a idea on what others pay ect
 
I did my D1+E a couple of years ago... 3 mornings of lessons with the test on the fourth morning and it was just over £400 which included the test and use of their vehicle & trailer... So £800 seems a little high for a Car & Trailer...
 
ive done mine. I did it in 2 hours blocks because i work full time and didnt want to use holiday. I had driven my trailer before lessons etc. I had a really good instructor and passed first time. Good luck! oh it was £75 evefor 2 hours, had quite a few lessons and the test was £115. It will cost wayy more that £400. £800 sounds about right. x

Blimmin heck if you think its gonna cost around £800 then you need to shop around as you're been taken up the river there... Even the D1+E was only just over £400, I know it was 2 years ago when I did my test but I can't see it being double the price in such a short space of time...
 
I did mine last year, I had never towed anything before, own car and borrowed trailer, 4 1 hr lessons @ £25 each plus cost of the test which made it just over £ 200.00. x
