I have my trailer test on Monday and I wondered if anyone had any helpful hints or tips or words of encouragement?! I am so nervous!!

Have had 2 hours practice prior to this weekend and have an intensive day and a half's training before my test tomorrow and Monday morning, apparently this is the best way!

Stay calm, deep breaths and take your time with the reverse.

The only thing that will get you on the day is nerves so if you can keep them under control you'll be fine. Good luck 😃

No medical or theory test required
Read a number plate from a certain distance

One hour road drive - includes the independent drive and is done virtually the same as the basic car test

For the resversing part - Remember all that you were taught, and dont be afraid to take your shunt if you need it.

For the driving, watch the speed limits, check your mirrors for absolutely everything! and just show how safe and confident a driver you are :)

Get to bed at a nice time the night before, have some breakfast in the morning, and wear clothes that you are comfy in. Tie your hair out your face if its likely to distract you.

I did mine last month, I passed with 4 minors. 1 for taking a shunt, 2 for mirrors (and I checked my mirrors about a billion times! :p) and 1 for signalling (I didnt hear what he said on a roundabout, and signalled for the wrong one before it clicked what he had said, cancelled signal, then signalled for the right one).

My biggest worry was speed limits, the town I did it in is missing most of the speed limit signs, so really had to work them out lol.

He also did the pull into a safe place to park thing with me 5 times! luckily that bits easy :p

It's really easy I can bet you pass with flying colours with no minors, just relax and drive as normal and you will be fine.

It's really not worth stressing over :D

You will be fine, I did mine last year and it truly was easy peasy, I got no faults and never even felt like it was even a test.

I did mine with Gordon from Stonehaven trailer place and he was awesome.
