When towing at night do you close the rear doors of your trailer? One of mine doesn't travel as well when it is dark (light on in trailer) and I've come to the conclusion that lights of following traffic may be to blame. That said it must be quite airless even with a roof light open.

I would also add that the driver who followed me for 1 hr last night with his 'array' of lights on main beam (lorry on a dual carriageway) is a complete and utter ............. please fill in as you wish, I was travelling at 50 - 55 which seems adequate given the strong winds!

I was always led to believe if a trailer had lights then they it was law for it to be put on at night, saying that it was brought up on here in the past and others said different.
I trhink the lights beoing on would lesson the glare of passing traffic to the horse?? I used to close the door on the road side with my last horse as she didnt like it when large vehicles passed. This made it so she couldnt see it if she looked round.
