I have offered to give a friend and her horse a lift to a pleasure ride.
I have only ever travelled my horse alone with a partition. So will be my first time taking 2 horses.
What are your tips?

Depending on the make you can buy a head partition but it makes it harder to unload and I’ve always found the treat of a haylage net each works perfectly well for my two who usually bicker like small children when stabled. It is no harder to tow with two but your braking distance will be greater with the extra weight so plan to brake well in advance of when you actually need to. Also if on narrowish country roads try to drive in the centre of the road so the pony on the left isn’t leaning all the time.

Trouble I have is my mare, breaks the bail twine if tied to the side, so I tie her to the front with her haynet. But they would have to share hay? Would that cause fights? X

Tie them so they can hold their heads straight but not turn towards each other. Load when you are ready to leave so you are moving and tgry are concentrating on that rather than squabbling.

You can get a mesh front partition for an Ifor if they bicker
I don't think you could tie a haynet to the partition on an Ifor Williams trailer, I used to tie a net to each side high up in the nose cone there are two little loops

Oh that sounds like a good idea. How could I tie it there? I have a hb506 so the partition barrier is in the middle type thing?
no idea of exact logistics! Sorry I didn’t have one of those. Maybe a really big hay net tied centrally ?
