Ok, dad just bought a discovery.
Firstly, sister said theres a possibility I can't drive it because of the engine size (I think its 2.5?) I'm 20, so don't know if I have to be older. (I know I'd have to do a trailer test to tow)

I dont know where to look for a good trailer, as I'd probably be looking at 2nd hand. What sort of budget would be realistic? Is there a trailer you would recommend or advise against. The majority of the time it would just be my 16.1 mare in there but sometimes friends might come too. And is there a way I can get someone to check it out before I buy? Is there a company or something?

Sorry lots of questions

As long as you are insured to drive the disco, age doesn't come into it. It is a car, not a commercial vehicle. Yes, you will have to take a trailer test. The most common trailer available is the Ifor Williams, if you had £2000 to spend you should be able to get on in good, tidy condition. As to getting it checked over, contact your local trailer retailer, they will check it - for a cost.

You will be able to drive the disco, but the insurance on it will be MASSIVE!!
You can pick up good ifor williams trailers second hand, I think she would need a 510, and you would probably be looking about £2500 in my experience for a fairly decent one if not a bit more.
They dont really depreciate in value that much.
The Rice Trailers and Richardson trailers are good too...
As with ALL second hand trailers though, obviously the floor would need a good inspection and things :)
