Train to Branbury

First I would like to say a BIG thank you to Cayla Brownmare and Carey (FS)

I am meeting brownmare at Brent Cross underground station which is about 40 mins away from me. I just can't wait to get lil man home now.

So thank you again to every one that has helped me get this lil man to his new home :D

Agreed, Thanks to everyone who got involved. And thank you, Louise, for giving this chap a second chance :) Im sure you'll have loads of fun with him :D xx

I've been following this thread all morning and wishing I could help in some way. Now things seem to be sorted I just want to say that you guys are just amazing. Anyone who thin ks the AAD crew are scary/bullying etc needs to read about some of the lengths you stalwarts have been to recently to rescue various dogs.

I really hope the rest of Buster's trip goes smoothly and look forward to seeing pics of him at Loopy Louise's...

1st time online since thurs afternoon and i've missed all the action! Sounds like it's all sorted now and Buster is on the last leg of his journey. Would have been happy to transport him some of the way if needs be.

A massive HOORAY to you all - so pleased we'll soon be seeing this boy with a big staffy smile on his face! :)

Thankyou Carey and Penny for keeping my stress levels as minimal as they possibly could be:rolleyes::o
Of course tempers and stress levels would flare esp from me, when I could think of nothing more on my whole LONG journey than Browonmare being greeted with nothing and stranded with a dog!! (and a phone perminantly cuts out)
so I to apologise-ish:rolleyes: for my temper!!
Im home and BrownMare is home safe and LL had Buster so job done and panick over!!

:D (I can do that now):D

I def think lessons have to be learnt too, if you ask for help, atleast be prepared to get involved help yourself along with everyone else.

Nuff said:)

You are welcome you frickin ranting nob cheese :D If I lived closer I swear I would come and jump up and down on that ruddy phone of yours....GET A NEW SIM CARD!! :p :D
Alls well that ends well, ahhhhh, and its nearly time to watch you on xfactor! :D

I'm sorry there was so much panic on my behalf, I'm sure I said on one thread or another that I'd do the whole journey if necessary - but it's nice to know you care :D :D

Buster (sorry, Shades) probably had an easier journey this way anyhow and at least he is home now :)

hope the dog has a lovely new home. and has settled down well. and new owner doesnt have to scrat around to find enough money to feed the dog or god forbid take it to the vets. or dog has to wait until monday to be fed. sorry harsh but true. well done to everyone who offered to pay for the £40 train fare. shoot me down if you like.

Its alright, shes got a couple of cats she can chuck him if he gets hungry before monday! Do you have to put a downer on EVERYTHING?!

Takes aim.....

I love it when people post cr*p like this. You might wish to think logically for once perhaps?

a) The OP will have dog food in the house already, she has two existing dogs

b) A vet will not demand immediate payment for an emergency callout (which is what it would be if it happened before Monday) as they simply want to get things done and get home ASAP

Do cheer up, it is Saturday night and all is now well :D

*And she asked for the dog after monday but because it was a 600 mile journey it could only be done today!!
*The dog has been insured, cos I issued it:rolleyes:
Food was plentiful as it was handed over with the dog (although it was cheap crap) OP had plenty of food in!!
*I was offered diesel money/donation for transporting the dog by the person desperate to home it from the bad situation it was in, I asked for it to be spent on a train ticket instead (that fell upon deaf ears)

There is always more to a story than the first half:rolleyes:

Can I just say if I felt I could not afford another dog then I would not have taken Shades on and as Cayla says I didn't want to collect him till after Monday but because he was 600 miles away and Cayla and brownmare could only really do it today they pulled together and got him here.

As for food and vets my girls are both on raw meat and Shades will be going on the same diet as of monday once he has got use to being he has he has had a lot of change in his life over the last 2 days. I also always make sure that I have a stock of food for the girls and cats to last them a month and always buy more each week.

I have a very good vet that does both my horses girls and cats. If they even need the vets then that would not be a problem as they invoice me and I pay bills weekly.

Shades now will have a home with me for life where he will not want for anything.

Now on a lighter note Cayla your on Xfactor :D

Yea what idea?!
Caroline the wonderful vet has already had a bottle of that very expensive wine we were discussing! THE most expensive bottle of red. I told her in the card I considered a box of chocs but thought them inappropriate! :p :D
