I'm looking for a pair of trainer or walking boot-style riding boots that aren't too expensive, to wear during the summer (!) months when I'm out and about riding and have to get off to open gates etc, and would also double as walking boots (for light walking). I have seen the Dublin Trekker boots that look quite good, just wondered if anyone has any opinions of them..the sole looks a bit non grippy, has anyone had any problems with grip? Any other recommendations? I'd prefer something that comes a little way up the ankle. And I'd like to be able to wear half chaps with them so not too bulky at the ankle. Thanks in advance!

Not cheap but I really recommend Ariat Telluride - the most comfortable boots I have ever worn!

Im not a fan of Dublin - find they dont last very long

i've got a pair of the pink tuffa ones they had a few sizes left at a discount on their site. very comfy. not so pink now though :-(
