Training Balls - Parelli Balls and Punctures!

Has anyone any experience of those big green training balls? I've brought a Parelli one, used it in the sand school and within 5 minutes my playful 2 year old Forrester managed to get not 1 but 3 puntures in it! What a waste of £45!!!!!!

Has anyone successfully managed to repair theirs? We've tried using a bike repair, but it doesn't seem to take properly!

I'm gutted, he loved it so much for those first few moments, and what a waste of hard earned dosh!!! :mad:

Any advice or glimmers of hope appreciated!
 
Oh bum:( How annoying! From what I have heard, the Parelli stuff can at times be a bit overpriced, I would be very cross if I had just seen £45 go down the drain too:mad:

No idea about repairs, but you may be able to replace it with a Pilates ball, which Tesco were selling for a few pounds last year? I have never seen a Parelli ball, so not sure if a Pilates ball would be a suitable replacement?
 
Hi I use gym balls too although would prefer a slightly larger ball which I am sure the Parelli ones are.
Why dont you try some of that liquid tyre repair stuff to seal the punctures from the inside? I reckon that may work. You can get the cheap stuff which is foam or the stuff you buy online that apparently all the emergency services put as a preventative thing in their car tyres from day 1 - it remains fluid and seals all punctures safely? Worth a go. Good Luck!
 
Can you ask the seller for a replacement/refund? I thought these horse balls were supposed to be hard wearing/durable things, for it to break so soon surely it's not fit for purpose?
 
I've contacted Parelli by email, will see what they come back with. It's just really disappointing, the idea of it is great, but what a waste of money!

Will try a good old exercise ball next time! I liked this one as it's 44 inches, almost as big as he is (he also likes playing with a football, so this was something completely different!)
 
That is surprising! There is one in our indoor and has been in use for a few years now! I have a Stacy Westfall ball, which is also holding up ok so far...the pony even bit it a few times trying to pick it up!
