Training books

yeah i've got it, its worth a read, does cover things well
it wasnt amazingly inspiring i didnt think.

I'm not a big pippa funnel fan but i thought her training the young horse book was really good for the 'normal person' , lots of practical suggestions that made alot of sense.

Klimke's is a "bible" but it's very Germanic (not a criticism, just it's a very specific system) and generally supposes a particular kind of set up. It's definitely one to have on the shelf but if you're looking for something more detailed there are a few more around you could add to your library, too.

The Richard Maxwell one in the "also bought" section is good, as is the Loriston-Clark book. Both are a bit more detailed about general handling and backing than Klimke's book.
