Now enthusiasm is great :D i have been teaching Roly and Lil a completely useless, but very fun new trick.

Its called when I bend over, jump on my back! However, this has now manifested itself into me getting myself back humped when I
a) bend down to pick something up
b) do up my shoes
c) scratch my foot!

Everyone's in the firing line! My mum bent down to pick something up and lo! She was ridden like a pony :D

So I guess I need to now teach them wait :D because they are so excited I can see guests and grandparents will be targets alike :D

So tips for teaching WAIT!

Haha, it always happens to me when I've taught a new trick!!!
I taught a wait pretty much like a stay... only I recalled/released the dog with an "okay" (whereas a "stay" meant under no circumstances do you move your butt!)
I also wouldn't make a massive fuss if they do it on their own accord, as it will only reinforce it...!
If you haven't put a specific, clear word to the action then I would start adding one now!
So then have them in a sit, you bend, then give them the key word. I wouldn't reward it if I hadn't asked for it. Then just bend and tell them to down or something else they don't instantly think "YEEEEAAAAH *jump*" when you bend over :)
