Following on from another thread about re-learning how to ride after being taught incorrectly / developing bad habits...
Can anyone recommend any books or websites which give clear proper instructions?
I don't have access to any equine professionals or instructors where I am (or well trained horses for that matter lol!)
Thanks!

Also, I understand that without someone seeing the way I ride, success will be impossible to judge - but at least if I can learn the theory I stand a small chance at achieving some level of competence (hopefully!) :D

I haven't read a lot but found training the young sj by Anthony Paalman very good. Doesn't matter if you don't SJ it had loads of good points in there.

Heather moffetts enlightened equitation book is excellent and has lots of pics showing faults and how to correct them

I also rate Oliver hilburgers inhand schooling book :)

101 schooling exercises is a good book, it starts off from the bottom and explains exactly how to do it complete with diagrams for each exercise.

Thanks Dotty1!
So far this morning I have learnt that iBooks is Rubbish (only the Kottas one is available - at £25!)
Must update phone software and download kindle app ASAP!
It was so much easier in UK where I could just order a real book - or a real instructor haha!

Kelly marks perfect manners is good, I practise the foundation exercises. YouTube can be helpful also, buck brannaman, clinton Anderson, rick gore, monty roberts, ive gained something from all of these.
