training to be a physio/chiro

Not for me but for a Portuguese friend. She has two degrees (one human phsyio, one P.E.), she has a huge and impressive background in classical dressage and her English is very good. She is desperate to train in equine physio but in Portugal there are no openings as it's just not taken seriously. So she'e thinking about trying to come to the UK to continue her studies.
She's here visiting me in November (I'm in the North West, North Wales/Liverpool/Cheshire area) and wondering if there's anywhere/one she could go and visit and discuss this further with. Anybody got any good advice? Thanks all.

I'm currently doing a BSc in Animal Science with a view to doing an MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy at Harper Adams University College in Newport, Shropshire... from what I remember about the course its a 3 year part-time programme. I believe its a well-recognised qualification and on completion you'll get professional membership to NAVP.

Thanks Emma - that's really useful. I really want to help her as she's so keen and so well qualified for the profession. Just a shame that her own country doesn't really recognise it. Yet!!!
