Hi bit of a randomness but seeking good training treats that are ideally somewhere in between a normal sized horse treat (a bit bigger than I’m ideally wanting) and a meadow nut (a bit too small). Low sugar & low calorie as well please.
I’m currently using agrobs treats (can’t remember the name) as I already had a big tub of them but they’re a bit bigger than I’d ideally like for “everyday” sort of stuff as don’t want to turn the pony into a fat blimp-like thing (paranoid by how many weight issues I had with the Highland). Eventually will scale back how often they’re given but for the moment bribery motivates him to try things when he’s a bit unsure and although he’s A LOT better with large vehicles he’s not quite at the stage where they’re just part of the scenery which is unfortunate when we’re on a bus route
He finds carrots a bit TOO exciting to use other than for special occasions (& also that involves me remembering to chop them up!)
Ideally after something (or a few different somethings) that won’t immediately disintegrate in my pocket (another reason for not wanting to continue with meadow nuts!) but accept that 99% of horse treats like to do that!
