Just a recommendation if anyone is looking for a good training or waking vest. I have had a Gappay one for about ten years or so but have recently found the pockets aren’t as useful as I’d like, for treats, toys, my phone, car keys etc. so treated myself to a Pinewood one. It arrived yesterday and I have to say it’s absolutely brilliant. So many functional pockets, great for carry all the paraphernalia I need when training or walking.

I have a Eurojoe one for 'good', some old Gappay ones for mucky walks and a clay pigeon vest for about 20 quid and a belt/skirt for hotter weather out of Decathlon for day to day training.

The Pinewood ones are lovely but for training I always want a totally open front and back pocket for fast delivery of food/

Bende and Schweikert were not so good. I think Pinewood and IQ Dogsport are regarded as the Ferraris of the genre.

Overall the old shiny black Eurojoe ones are the best practically for actually training IME.

The model I have has open front pockets, with a popper to expand them, but the trade off is that the rear pocket is a lot smaller than the one linked above. I have to remember to tuck handles in (ask me about the bruise I got before I figured that one out 😬)

I tried on the Hurtta one before that and it was the weirdest shape, plus the high collar was uncomfortable (it has a hood rolled up in it).

I love the look of these but unfortunately the sizing is tiny ... At the moment I have a Jack Pyke one and I hate it!!

I just can't with Hurtta because of their ambassador ;)

Can’t please all of the people all of the time 🙂
I probably carry more "stuff" - dummies etc doing gundog training than other dog sports. Pinewood just wasn't spacious enough and I found myself twisting in a weird way to reach the back....I am also a short arse so might be a fit issue!!
