what about Rodney Powell? he's in that area (well, i know he used to be!), no idea how good a trainer he is though.

Liz Winter (bloody brilliant & local)

I'm so jealous - I'd have lessons with any of them at the drop of a hat.

I can second Lizzel and Eric Winter they are both fantastic instructors. Eric is great on the jumping side - brilliant. And Lizzel is superb at the dressage. I found Lizzel too nice to me jumping, whereas Eric pushed me to make me do more. Both are BE accredited trainers and Lizzel is a Fellow of the BHS.

I have had Bill and William before found them both good, quite fancy trying Liz Winter tho, see her out and about a fair bit. either her or eric (i cant remember which) were one of the judges at the JAS final
