Traitorous flags!

Still can’t believe this Olympic flag drama. If it gets overturned after the event it will be very bad! Can’t help but think it’s been done in the favour of the French! Grrrr!!
I totally agree - I feel very angry about it!

What is the point of having the cameras when it just so happens there’s no camera at the fence in question. There is no doubt from the photograph that his body was in! Yet they won’t accept it! Completely scuppered Ros’ medal chances.

Also what on Earth was that fence just doing when Alex Hua Tian got a flag - she almost ran in front of the horse and he had been lying in the bronze medal position!

It honestly feels like a fix and I’m the first to say the sport can go any direction!

Hopefully it can put a fire in GB’s belly to jump clear but it is so close and unfairly so!

Also just saw that people are saying the flag was also placed incorrectly and photos are being shared on Facebook - does anyone have the photo, I would love to see it!

This reminds me of Bettina Hoy in Athens. That went all the way to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
She clearly broke the rules, whether intentionally or unintentionally, it was obvious what had happened on that occasion. Why it went back and forth for so long I'll never understand.

I've seen a photo of Ros and I cannot see how it can be claimed that Graffalo didn't clear inside the flag. Lots of flags went flying yesterday, I'm wondering how many of those got penalties.

Bettina, because the clock was reset to 0 after she went through the start the first time.

Ros, because they don't look at random photos and videos on Facebook, they go by the official ones and the stewards on course.

I didn't mean the situation, more the controversy - appeals, counter appeals etc. Thankfully, it's irrelevant from a team perspective and she'd probably be out of contention individually even without the 15 but the principle is still important.
