TRAKEHNER

They're a lightish WB breed, a bit like WBxTB. According to some people, they have a tendency to be a bit hot and flighty, but my first instructor had some, and I never found that. A good number do very well at DR or SJ. I really like them!

i used to work there for a bit and compete some of them in dressage. they are a fantastic versitile breed. absolutly fantastic trainability, however they can be 'hot'. i really like them for serious competition as they are athletic and quick thinkers.

I own a part bred and know another full bred. They are lovely horses, but I have found both of ours, and heard of many others to be ridiculously intelligent. The full bred I know has paces to die for, and a fab jump. Mine has decent paces and also a fab jump. They tend to be quite stunning to look at in my opinion and are often very smart horses

They are beautiful, proud, intelligent and athletic.

They are also quite "hot" and figure things out quickly, have superb paces and make great Dressage and SJ horses. Huge "pop"!!!!

Ours was fabulous, but sadly, he is no longer with us!!

Ohh, can I join the club too!

Sbsmiths: Beautiful, affectionate horses. Extremely intelligent, most are sane but can be hot, but the majority are sensible with it. I would say the breed are most suited to a competition home as their brains are best kept busy - although saying that, my boy would be quite happy as a happy hacker!

I don't know many people who don't like the breed. Some will comment that they are a "professionals horse" with attitude - this is what I was told when I was looking.

Good luck with the viewing.

I have one too! They are gorgeous, but as people have said, can be v hot and sharp. Fab paces, v trainable, but also a nightmare in the wrong hands.

mine is half trak. and yes can be a bit 'hot' very sensative about things although not overly sharp. very intelligent gd paces and quite a jump. a lotof people doclass them as 'profesional' horses due to there hot sensative nature.

Can I join too ? :-)

I have one and agree with most of what has been said, the breed has alot of TB and Arab in and I have found the one I have and the others I have seen on the yard are very similar in temperament to a TB. I find them much more interesting than some of the other Warmbloods - although these days they seem to be adding TB to alot of the warmblood breeding so in a while there will not be too much difference
