Hoping all you knowledgeable people on here can help!
My mum has been looking at herbal supplements for our new rescue dog.
She's a 12 month old GSD and has never had any socialisation and was badly treated at her last place. She's a lot better than she was when she first came here, but she does tend to follow my mum about whenever she gets up and we are worried about her starting with separation anxiety.
We ignore her upon arrival home/getting out of bed etc, she is treated as the other dog is, no extra fuss/cuddles/treats, she's not mollycoddled by any stretch and is learning fast - she now is able to be let off the lead, she recalls, sits, down etc. She has a Kong when my parents leave for work stuffed full (she doesn't have this at any other time) and hasn't been destructive, she just whinges a bit. She's also very good at throwing herself around before we go through doors etc (we are working on this, she is made to sit politely before we go through the door) and is very unsure of dogs and people at the moment (again, being worked on).
Someone's suggested we put her on a herbal supplement - we ideally need something that can go in food - liquid preferably, and wonder if anyone has any ideas?
Thanks
