Translation, please--Single filler

That's not a term that I am familiar with in the US. In an H & H article on training for jumping straightness, one is supposed to "set two single fillers" five strides apart. A translation or description of a single filler would be essential if I were to attempt the exercise. Is it a single pole jump?
 
It would be a filler 6 foot wide. ie one of the halves of this :)

It is a skinny.

On an experienced horse I would say no wings, on a less experienced horse I would either put wings or rest poles on eac side to guide the horse in and straight
 
If you don't have fillers as such, a water barrel works quite nicely (just be sure to prevent it rolling away if clipped, I use chocks of wood or a spare pair of poles).
