Truro to Worcester.

Any ideas, recommendations please. Shared load is fine but will need to be sharing with 'clean' horses as mare is in foal and is returning to yard with youngstock.

Mare could be taken to Taunton racecourse from stud and put onto shared load.

I will get some quotes from transporters in the west country but thought a quick post on here might give me some more ideas.
Thanks

I used a most lovely and efficient transporter called PC Horse Transport of Plymouth. They have a website.

£230.00, not shared. Easy to deal with on the phone and email. Collected her on time, made contact with me twice during the journey, gave me an eta and was within 10 minutes of it.

Lorry was a equitrek, 2 horse rear facing, (it's small box often seen with racehorses), lowest ramp I have ever seen, airy and safe.

Horse arrived in good order, even though she is not a frequent traveller.

Transporter did not ask for payment before collecting the horse. His name is Paul Cannon and I was more than happy with the service.

I used a website that puts your details into many transporters, and I had a lot of replies with vast difference in quote prices. The most alarming was the offer of a landrover and trailer for £435.00.

Thanks v much. Trouble is my chap has jumped the partition of a rear facing small lorry and had to be cut out by fire brigade. Hence the need for a v steady companion to bring him down to Somerset. Glad your mare arrived safely.

Alan Walter is very good. Based in Somerset. Wish I'd used them when I returned my horses to the south west, had a lousy transporter bring them back. Took two days!
