transport needed last minute!

can anyone recommend any transport companies in cheshire? trying to find someone available to collect lily on saturday but they’re all, understandably, busy now. i don’t want to share my exact location but i need her collecting from tarporley and delivering an hour away. i was hoping because it’s quite a short journey someone might be free but it’s proving difficult?

i’ve tried the main ones that come up when you google cheshire equine transport, and i don’t know anyone who would be willing to do me a favour - would feel much safer if she was collected by a proper transport company with insurance etc. Thanks!

Have you asked the people you bought Lily from if they know someone who might do it?

yup, unfortunately not - they also hire transport and the people they suggested are busy??‍

Would you self hire? M and H horsebox hire are based at ryders Farm in Kearsley but you can also collect/drop off from their home in Cheshire. I've hired from them and they were great to deal with. Or Andrew Heffernan does hire from his yard at Somerford

i’m not old enough to hire a self drive, and i passed my test 3/4 months ago so most definitely would not be competent or confident driving one just yet!

Might still be worth contacting them - most places with a box say to contact them for transport

Mustang Horse Transport - Mike Beech - personally recommend them.
Three Counties are good - Katie Staniland - but may not be cost effective as she's south of Shrewsbury
quest Horse Transport - Shrewsbury based. Jay Kane. Again, I've used him and he was good.

Thankyou everyone, we’re sorted now! I had actually already contacted mustang, for some reason i thought he was busy but i got mixed up and he’s free, so she’ll finally be coming home saturday morning!

Mustang was subcontracted to deliver mine when he came from Ireland, through a bigger firm for the ferry ride, then the subcontractor for the final leg. Lovely little box and driver, they took every care.
