Transport to Regionals.....

Bought a new box but will not arrive for 2 weeks......I have a lift on Thursday but still cannot find tranporter for saturday..AHGGGGGG!!!! Any ideas? I have tried Phoenix, DSK, Equines in Motion, but cannot find anymore in Herts/Essex area?? Think I may be stuck at home on Saturday .......unless my horse grows wings......I cant wait to get my own box....then I can stop posting about Horseboxes!!! LOL!!
 
If you haven't sorted it by Thursday then take a big sign with you, ask if you can stick it by the scoreboards begging and pleading for a lift! Someone there is bound to go past your way.

If you were anywhere near me, you could take mine, but you're not, so not very helpful!
 
Can't you stay at Addington ,maybe they do full livery for a couple of days ?We are there on Friday and could see to him during the day but not early ,if you could get back there in the evening .Maybe someone else is staying and could see to him first thing!
Only suggestion I've got now
 
Thanks spotted cat...Good idea, I may well do this.. but feel a little embarrassed!!!!!

Carthorse, no, I could not leave him..he is not the easiest to do whilst away!!! Thanks for your suggestions though..only wish my box would turn up next week....maybe we are not destined to go Sat......Poo!!!
 
Stuff embarrassment, it's the regionals! If I was ever good enough to qualify, I'd move heaven and earth to get there, even if it meant begging strangers for a lift! If you saw a sign like that, you'd offer to help if you could wouldn't you? I know I would.....
 
I would too!! I kinda got use to the idea that I was not going on Saturday but like you say it is the regionals not a normal day out and we have worked hard to get the qualifications etc..I will reward highly anyone who can take me!! I am very tidy and would come with a friend who can do lots of running around getting coffee and rolling bandages!!!
 
I am sorry i cant help i have been reading all you pleas but my lorry is very ill atm so wont be on the road for a long time.

Have you tried all friends? Maybe put an ad in the ad trader???
 
Tried friends, one letting us use her box on Thursday and Hubby taking a day off work, but Sat. he has an exam for First AId so cannot drive, but my friend is also out competing with her lorry elsewhere.....everyone else on the yard has other committments or do not want to do!!!!

Awww so glad you got a lift. Ive still got the old lorry but it doesnt have any insurance on it and I am out in my new one or you could have just had that one for the weekend.

Will be great when you have your own transport. The stress of trying to get your travel sorted must be horrible.

Good luck - I will have all my fingers and toes crossed for you.
 
AHHHHHHHH..just got my times...can you do early morning??!!! I only need to be there by 10am?? Takes 2 hours from my place??? ekkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!! Lots of bubbling will flow during the day though!!!!!!!!!!....for you maybe not as you may be driving....be you can take it home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GULP!!!! Will try my best!!!!!! Lots of horses in the class though ...although I am not looking at who is competing in my class as it will make me worse!!!

I was thinking of that actually, but have BD meeting at Addington @ 5.30pm....let me plan something. Will prob involve me taking lorry to Addington on Fri for meeting then coming down to you afterwards....Hmmmm.
