Transport with a stroppy gelding!

I have a horse who can be known to pull faces at horses and sometimes lunge towards his stable neighbours with his ears pinned. I’ve never known him to bite, but there’s a first time for everything. I’m due to travel in a tailer with another horse and I am a little bit concerned that he may be a nuisance. Any ideas or suggestions?

Does he know the other horse? If not, can you ride out with them a few times beforehand to get them accustomed to one another?

My trailer has a grill to separate horses at the head end so they can’t bite each other, check the trailer you re travelling in, it might also have one. Failing that tie your horse tightly so he can’t reach across to the other side.
