Transporters South to North, Ideas please.

Am looking at moving a horse from North Shropshire down to Somerset soon and looking for either a shared load or on the return leg of their journey so if any of you know any transporters from down that way to try I'd be very grateful. Thanks.

Alan Walter based in Taunton is a good contact, he arranges shared loads regularly and links to other companies, if you are flexible with dates you should get a good deal. Very professional drivers that do a lot of racehorse work.

Try Eric Gillie. He's amazing and is often picking up/ dropping off horses on the south coast. They have stables all over the country so you'd be surprised at how convenient he could be!!

Alan Walters at Wiveliscombe, moves a lot of race horses around and others. Very professional. I have used him a few times for older horses and youngsters. His drivers are excellent in handling.

I'd also recommend Eric Gille, moved my horse from Scotland to Shropshire last year, very reasonable and great service
