Hi everyone I'm new here and I would like some advice. I could be moving to Cyprus (I'm currently in Germany) and I have a 20 year old TB. Do you think traveling all that way would be too much for her? Then there is climate change to think of too. What would you do if you were in my position? If it looks like it will be too much for her I won't go I will stay here with her and just go over to visit my husband regularly.

I would say that the journey would be too much personally. Its a very long journey to make and a friend bought an 8yo to the uk and it knocked him for a few months.

If it were me I wouldn't- sorry!

I live in Cyprus part of the year and would not consider bringing an English horse there. Apart from the long journey the climate would be a huge change, upto 40 degrees in the summer. There is little or no grazing so hay would be needed all year. The hay is very different from ours and is more like straw.I could also see a problem sourcing hard feed

Thank you, she currently has no grazing here in Germany she is on hay all year. I used to live in Cyprus so I know how hot and humid it can get. I had a feeling it would be too much for her but thought I would check. I would never give her up the boor baby has got me for life haha
