(Title should read transporting animals from Europe to Ireland / UK....I got a bit excited :P )

Hi,

Does any one know of any good companies who transport horses from Europe to Ireland or the UK? Approximately how much does it cost?

Any help much appreciated! :D

I had a horse transported from America via the Netherlands to Ireland - from the airport in Amsterdam he was picked up by John Parker International and taken to the UK and then over to Ireland.

Was about 5 years ago and I cant remember how much the Europe/Ireland part of the total cost was? Sorry.

But would definitely recommend them and seem to remember they have regular pick ups in Europe to the Uk and also regular pick ups from their yard in Kent over to Ireland.

They picked our boy up from Barcelona and delivered to Windsor, cost about £700.

They were excellent, giving me updates everyday. As he was being delivered when it was cold and he was so young and growing, I asked them what size rug, they checked with the drivers and they told me the exact size I needed for him lol

Graham and his team are so helpful and understanding, even talking to the people we brough the horse from to make sure all the paperwork was in order for when he was picked up.

EDIT: Oh, if you don't got with ETA go with John Parker, also very helpful and similar price quoted for us. We choose ETA cause they got back to us quicker and had a sooner collection date.
