Oh my goodness - 6 months ago I would have said just hire a reputable transporter. I would still say that but as I understand it the amount of paperwork and tests necessary before being allowed to cross the pond are now VERY time consuming and expensive. Contact one of the better known transporters for advise probably best.

This is good advice at the best of times, but even more so now; they will know what's required. Horses are still being transported to UK, and it has been my experience so far that we are better prepared on this end than the UK when it comes to the necessary paperwork, etc.
