Transporting horses to USA info!

Does anyone have any information on transport companies who fly horses to the USA? I have searched on the internet but found nothing! Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks very much.

You would be best to contact a bloodstock agent such as Pedens. I know alot of the time they fly out of Holland (Maastricht) I think and I know it tends to cost in the region of €5-6000 euro! A flight groom can travel with the horses or if they are with a joblot someon is usually going. its best that someone with experience of flying horses travels with them. any other questions pm me...i'll dig out our info. horses fly out of and into our yard a fair bit!

I flew a mare to the States in 2004. I used Peden Bloodstock and the total cost, door to door (England to Canada) was just over £6,000. Geldings are cheaper as the quarantine is shorter for them.

I too have looked into this for my gelding. IRT quoted me around 5-5.5k (pounds) that is just the flight too, you would have to add on extra to transport from yard to UK airport and then USA Airport to yard.

I decided it was just an un-realistic amount of money.....

Irt are fabulous.

Do allow for around £6000 though which I believe is very reasonable considering what is involved.
