As question really, We are starting to go to endurance competitions and are taking water in large plastic containers. Someone has told me that it is possible to carry water in containers on the outside of the trailer and I have searched, albeit in vain, for such containers and brackets to hold them. Does anyone have experience of these and where I can buy them from. Many thanks

I've seen these - aren't they called an aqua caddy or something? TBH I think you could probably get a metal bracket that will secure a standard 25L container just behind the wheel arch for a lot less money!

Well, spoke to the man at Watercarry who told me to ring someone else who is not answering their phone :( I then spoke to my local IW stockist and he has told me that most people fix tie points just above the back step on the trailer and put the water containers there and tie them on. A lot cheaper option with the tie points only £10 for a pack of four. And I already have the water containers. Does anyone else do this ???

If we only used one side that would be great but unfortunately our mare has a whole trailer to herself without the partitions as a result of travelling issues a couple of years ago. I did wonder about fitting them inside at the front of the trailer but would worry about them coming loose and causing problems.

I put my water drum in the front of the trailer. I don't attach it to anything and it has never moved. On the way back if it is empty I put it in the back of the truck. I have a Sinclair with the rounded front so there is loads of room in the front for that on the floor, haynets and heads of ponies! I also keep my mobile mounting block (a step ladder) in the 'pocket' of the front ramp.

When I used a trailer I used to secure the container at the front of the trailer (inside) using bailing twine around the handle. I think the ifor williams trailers all usually have some sort if metal bars at the front that you can tie the twine to.
