I am due to collect my new horse in a couple of weeks and an wanting to make the process as positive as possible. The horse is a 5 yr old who has never been off his stud so this will be his first long journey. The stud owner has loaded him allready and he is haapy with that and travelled him around the block. His journey will be approx 5hrs. how would you go on to ensure he is as happy as possible?

this is going to be our first use of our newbuild lorry, rear facing side ramp, with viewing panel from cab into lorry!

I travelled a 6 month old colt 350 miles (on Irish roads, about a total of 9 hours)

we had a few good stops, disembarked a couple of times, offered food and water, checked over for stress/sweating/any bumps or scratches etc.

He was absolutely fine :D travelled perfectly well

Sure if you keep a check on him and stop when you need to he will be fine

thanks damnation

I do have a horse that travels brilliantly, but would it be fair to travel her 10 to 12 hours in total, as she would have to come with us from home to the new horse and then back again?
