travel boot recommendations/ pads bandages

What protection do you prefer to use when travelling your horse? I don't travel mine very often, in fact in the past year he has only travelled down the road in the van once.

I am taking him out with a friend in a couple of weeks, so have just been checking out my leg pad and bandages. The pads are looking a little worse for wear with a couple of holes. Not sure if its worth investing in some new ones, and if so should I stick with the pads and bandages or go for the travel boots?

How many of you use a tail bandage when travelling?

So who prefers what and why?

Personally I don't like travel boots and always use pads with bandages. Every time I have tried travel boots, my horse walks like an idiot. Think some boots are too rigid? I always use a tail bandage too. Hope that helps

Yeah, that does help thanks. Do you think it matters if they are a bit worn the pads if the bandages are new?
