hi all, my friend needs some help...

her very slim and long legged tb is coming across from turkey in a couple of months time and she needs the best fitting travel boots possible as its very long journey! long skinny ones are the best plan but as they cant be tried on and sent back etc before hand its a difficult decision!

woof wear ones are what she's looked at, anyone use them or have used them for a similar horsey?

can anyone recommend any others that would be suitable?

at the moment i have premier equine ones, that are bulky and offer good protection, yet are quiet hard to fit due to the bulkiness, so they might not be any good

in the past ive had rambo ones, which are lovely, they are not as tough as some, have no strip at the bottom for example, yet the boots are flexible and fit well, and dont slip

It's such a long way I would be tempted not to put anything on incase it slips. Will he be checked regularly and is he used to wearing them?

Otherwise I have tried a fair few on April and the best ones I have found for non-slipping are the Mark Todd ones

I have a set of Mark Todd and a set of Woof ones, and the Mark Todd are by far and away the best. The Woof ones slip down a bit, but the MT boots stay put really well.

They are the type of people that dont usually put boots on the horses - the reason being incase they do slip and the horse panics, they travel quite a few at once so wont be able to cope with a panicking horse wedged inbetween other horses. I would just check with them before buying the boots.

Also I have Amigo ones in large. They would definatly be too big for your friends horse. Not much help really but at least you know not to get amigos in large

I love the Mark Todds but they are not suited to really fine legs. Elles had them on her very fine ISH and they slipped. The WW ones are narrower for really skinny legs!
