Looking for recommendations for travel boots/wraps - have a mare who tends to dance about a bit when bored and pull shoes off - not frightened of travelling just gets restless after a while - looking for protective travel boots that stay put otherwise we are back to good old gamgee and bandages!

Also has anyone used a mirror in a horsebox to act a 'travelling companion'?

I used the Premier Equine Stable Boots (orange ones in the catalogue) for travelling my mare. She doesn't always seem comfortable in full travel boots. They stayed put and the padding can be removed to stick it in the washing machine.

My mare travels well but can get a bit irritated sometimes and hates travel boots. I dont think you can beat good old fashion bandages and hock boots behind and my mare has nothing infront.

Thanks guys - must say I prefer bandages but had gone 'modern' perhaps just stick to them for Miss Fidget. Have bought a travel mirror so hopefully that will help - don't know if she has ever travelled by herself before she came to us.

That's exactly what I use, I think they're great as are much better fitting than your "normal" travel boots, but much less faff than bandaging, especially when somewhere exciting!

I put over reach boots on the front as well just to be sure. They wash up really well, I love them. Only downside I suppose is they don't go as high up as other travel boots, so if you're worried about knees/hocks you'd need extra bits and pieces.

I use the soft type travel boots for my fidgety madam who hates the rigid type. Think mine are poly pads. She is much happier with these but would really let rip in the others.
Would love to try the travel mirror too as have heard good reports.
