Can anyone else not get them on their horse? My mare hates them will not stand still, lifting her legs, spinning round, used to be able to get someone to hold a front leg up now she just rears so they can't hang on :(. We don't travel that often, but we have to go out in the trailer in a few weeks. Would bandages be better, or will they be a nightmare too as she won't stand still? The trailer is not on our yard we are normally ready before it arrives so it's not like she gets excited as she's seen the trailer. Any suggestions welcomed thank you

My horses travel bare legged. I despise travel boots and would never use. If I felt the need for anything it would be bandages

Would she be ok with just fronts on? We usually travel our ponies this way as they don't mind the front pair but less keen having the back set on. One of our ponies did a lot of showing with her stud owners before we got her and never travelled in boots or bandages over quite long distances. I think shod horses are more likely to damage themselves if they catch their legs or if you have one that messes about when loading and gets hurt on the ramp etc. so I'd be more inclined to have at least a front pair on.
