Hi everyone, I was wondering whether anyone had any opinions on the following travel rugs and their matching 'sets' ie tail guards, travel boots and bandages.
-Equiport Wool Show Rug
-Rambo Newmarket Fleece
-Thermatex Original Cooler Rug
And also what colours he should have it in, I was thinking Navy?

I have a Rambo fleece and its amazing. Wicks away sweat and drys my pony off really quickly. You can always get horseware accesories to match too.

Aahhh the excuse to be matchy-matchy and purchase my horse a travel wardrobe is very tempting! What colour do you think would suit him? Navy or Grey?

I must admit I find the opposite . I have a lovely rambo newmarket fleece which big mare wears to travel out in cold weather, its super smart & I love it, but I've found it doesn't wick sweat away from her well after work and I have just ordered her a thermatex same as my other mare as a result.

Thermatexs, and indeed all the rugs you have listed, I find are excellent for using in winter, but are too warm through the summer (unless we have an unseasonally cold day!). The matching tail guards for thermatex look good - they tie onto rug, and I'm planning on getting round to buying one. I dont know if thermatex do travel boots. However if you are going for a standard colour like Navy theres no reason not to use products from other makes that are the same colour for accessories . Again if you want to stick to Navy you may be as well to look at other makes such as Premier Equine cooler rugs (which are kind of similar to thermatex I believe and possibly cheaper?). However thats not taking anything away from thermatex they are great rugs, and have a nice range of colours so perfect if you decide you want to personalise more, even if just with a different colour binding . They do also do quarter and exercise sheets to match .

I really like Thermatex and have a purple and gold one for my Chestnut - even though he's a boy! but I was swayed but the endless possibilities of a matching wardrobe if I went with Newmarket fleeces as I was told that they were pretty much as good as Thermatex I like premier equine but I like the fact you can personalise a thermatex and I adore their exercise sheets but I love the stripey Newmarket ones! AAHHHHHHHHH this is so hard lol
