Anyone know of a travel insurance company that will cover cancellation insurance for a riding holiday in the UK?

I used to have AXA insurance with Lloyds Bank, and they covered for previous holidays, but we have stopped that now. It is a bit specialist.

I believe the forum member Hollywoozle will be able to advise. You could try to PM her. If I remember correctly she works for an equestrian travel agent.

Mines with Cedertree, it includes UK in the Europe option but I don't know their exact UK cancellation policy.

They cover a lot of riding activities with the option to add others depending on what you're doing.

Thanks @Sealine!

I use Coverwise at the moment but they only cover hacking/trail riding and not anything like jumping. They are underwritten by AXA though and I’m not sure on their U.K. cover specifically. Staysure is also popular lately!

The key thing to watch these days is that they will cover you when riding is the primary purpose of the trip - some have a little catch that they will cover riding but not if it’s the reason for the holiday. ?

Thanks, I've seen Coverwise which looks quite reasonable and I'll look at Staysure. I'm more interested in the cancellation cover I think, as the riding isn't very strenuous, no jumping or competitions.
