Travel rug advice

Hi - I need to buy a rug to travel my mare in. I've seen the Mark Todd Mesh Cooler. Has anyone got one of these? And are thy harsh enough to travel in?
 
She rubbed her tail out so the one way we have to stop that is a tail guard the a rug on with the end over the top of the guard

Don't know about that one sorry, I - 9 times out of 10 always travel with some sort of rug. It doesn't really matter which rug I just one in my colours or what I like.

I suggest you put a tail bandage on and one of these, they are very good and give a lot of protect in on the dock area I use them all the time when traveling

Hi. - thanks for that but I've tried a bag with her In the past and she's rubbed more. The rug and tail guard option is the only thing that stops her rubbing and as it's getting warmer that's why I'm looking at mesh rugs.

You need to find out why she leans so hard or fidgets in the lorry so she rubs so much .

You could put her in her section so the partitions are closer to her so she feels more secure with partitions wedging her in??. If she has to much room she could be moving about more rubbing her tail so much .

Hi - we have got some padding to fit behind her and we are also moving the partition to travel her more on the diagonal. We've even considered hanging a duvet in a haynet behind her. Doesn't help that she so sensitive skinned either :(
 
i found that mine used to sit on his bum travelling, and it was only when I had realised I had moved the partition to let another horse on board that he didn't have enough room, so I made it more herringbone and he was fine-no rubbed tail! mine gets no rug even when he was fully clipped in winter as he gets hot, but I use a tail guard not bandage like HGA suggested-hope it helps :)
