Travel Rug ... when to use?

Hello!

I'm finally bringing my ex racer home ... yay!!

Now I have a dilemma. I have bought him a wicking/cooling rug for travel, but the weather here has thrown a curve ball and it's due to be 16 degrees tomorrow!! It's about a 2.5 hour journey, so here's the question - do I rug him?? He hasn't been clipped. Any thoughts/gudiance really appreciated!

It depends on the horse and how he’s being kept. If he’s a cold soul and already in a 300g turnout then yes I’d rug him to travel.

You could always check after 15/20 mins and remove it if too warm?
