travel worries

right sorry for the long post but im going to explain it from the start

My mare when she was at her old owners yard use to be affiliated and travel here and there in a trailor, She then injured her leg on a hack and was put in foal.

She had her foal and was then put back into work and jackie ( old owner ) wanted to start competeing again, so she went to load her and get her shut up in the trailor and she was fine, Then as they set of harmony fell to the floor and fitted with her eyes rolled back.

Yet she will travel absalutly fine in a lorry, Its been a while since we tried her or anything and she has started loading perfectly into the trailer.

I am thinking of asking jackie to come and try her again just round the yards car park? as we cant afford a lorry but i know a few people with trailers who are willing to take me about.

Second opinions please? Im actually worried about it.

Do you use a partion in your trailer ? I had a mare that had previously traveled well but started going down in the trailer(scarey stuff thank goodness for quick release ropes!) if the partition was in place but when we tried her without the partition she was fine. May be worth a try for a short distance.

personally i would give it a whirl, with lots of people at hand.. make sure she is booted up to the eye balls

Def sensible idea to jolly around the car park.
Is it just once you move off??
And in the lorry is she facing forwards or herringbone??? Some horses just cant cope with facing forwards!

Yeah its just as we set off.
She will stand in the trailer fine and even eat her hay,
So she isnt stressed or anything, And she was loading into a baitson without the ramp down!

She always use to be able to travel forwards though, Its really confusing lol!
