Hi, im looking for help traveling a youngster on the weekend. She has been in a box a couple of times when very young on short trips and is ok at loading but can take a bit of persuading. the journey will take 5-6 hours.

Has anyone got any tips on how to get her here safely regarding any calmers I might try, partitions in/out of the trailer etc.

I plan to have her shoes taken off and travel her without travel boots as these just wind her up also I have got the option of using a full length brest bar.

Thank you

If you are going bootless you might try overreach boots all round just to prevent injuries from treading on himself.

Otherwise it sounds like you've done the preparation with the short journeys. give a nice haynet to keep her busy.

I have always travelled my young ponies without partitiion and a single long breast bar, but this is a matter of preference. You need to be sure they can;t turn around.
