My 18 month yearling needs to be boxed to move to his winter grazing next week. However he is not so good at being tied up - gets a bit stressed and tries to rear/pull back (working on this), although he is well handled he can have his wild moments
bit concerned about travelling him, he has never traveled before. He will be in a side loading equi-trek trailer, or if needs be a rear loading trailer. What would be the best/safest way of travelling him? would it be better to tie him short with a haynet and a partition in the equi-trek or loose without the partition in a normal rear loading trailer with lots of straw down? he is going a very short distance - about 6 mile down the road, but too far to walk.
