I'm hopefully bringing home a youngster that hasn't travelled much soon. I have a 3.5t horse box that has a solid breast bar partition. Both my horses travel well in it but with a youngster I was thinking of putting a temporary board in to block the grooms area. Any good ideas how to do this?

Surely that would t work as they need to put their head into the grooms area, also it should be fine, i always find youngsters travel very well in 3.5ts

I think that's a good idea having had a youngster who went over - thankfully unharmed, and he also never did it again. I think he just didn't know what to do on braking and just kinda went up accidentally, then over as we coming down a steep hill! I'd use solid board, attach as best you can as a visual deterrant - then remove partition or give as much space as possible so he can stand herringbone. I travel my 3.5 yo like that now even though I have a solid wall in my box, but the more space the better in my experience. I now cross tie but didn't tie him the first few trips (he wasn't the one who went over btw).
