Travelling Abroad

hello we are thinking of taking some ponies abroad in the summer to a show over in france, was just wondering what sort of documents stuff do you need, if A)in car and trailer
B) a lorry

also how much would it cost roughly to go over by ferry with 2 welsh ponies? and about 5 people?

Not sure about trailers in France, sure I read something about English trailers not being legal in France as ours dont need any MOT type test? Not sure who you would contact to find out.
